Welcome to the Refcheck WaterMark application process

The incidence of fraudulent information contained within CVs is on the increase. By independently verifying your personal data and history, you will be able to improve transparency and disclosure to prospective employers.

An electronic Refcheck Electronic Verification Certificate (known as a WaterMark) will, as a minimum, be able to:

Provide positive confirmation of the applicant’s identity
Confirm that the candidate has no civil or criminal judgements against him/her
Confirm that there is no financial default data available for the applicant
Confirmation of tertiary academic qualifications
Verify professional membership

In the following pages you will give us your name and identity details, specify in which country or countries you wish to have the Watermark information verified and authorise payment for the application.

Your personal electronic verification certificate (known as a watermark) will be sent to you via email, together with a unique ID number. The status and the verified information can then be confirmed by yourself and third parties online at a provided URL by entering the unique ID number on the Track and Validate option found on the Refcheck home page (www.refcheck.co.za).

In addition you can also print a copy of your Watermark place on a hard copy of your CV, enabling recruiters to confirm background information at no cost.

We aim to provide a real-time online verification process using an integrated technology platform. Currently our response rate varies for different regions according to the level of electronic integration allowed by the various sources of information. (Our average response rate is currently 24 hours.)
